Why I Don't Mind Working Myself Out of an Advocacy Job

The goal of advocacy isn't to create dependence. It's to help parents feel informed, confident, and empowered to advocate for their child long after our work together ends. In fact, some of my favorite success stories are the families who no longer need me.
